In February of 2020, Kathy was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy. It’s a disorder in which one side of the face is affected by weakness or paralysis.

According to the paper, it usually develops in less than two days and improves in most cases after nine months.

Kathy’s symptoms, on the other hand, became worse over time.

She awoke feeling terribly dizzy and with her face paralyzed one morning in June 2020. She was taken to the hospital right away.

Brie discussed the situation in an episode of The Bellas Podcast called Bellas Baby Shower! Doctors were hesitant to undertake the treatment, according to the sisters, because of the COVID-19 pandemic implications.

They went forward with the operation, although it took a lot longer than intended. Fortunately, the process and operation went off without a hitch.
