Dr. Charles Mimken is an attending physician in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai and is an Instructor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed his internship and residency training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and attended medical school at New York Medical College in Westchester New York. Dr. Mimken’s current position involves seeing patients at Mount Sinai Doctors West 14th Street, a multi-specialty practice located in Chelsea.
Dr. Mimken is passionate about providing high quality care with the most up-to-date evidence based guidelines. He encourages shared decision making and patient autonomy and ownership over their own healthcare. He speaks advanced level Spanish and had studied and lived Madrid.
His particular areas of interest include working with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) health and in his spare time he enjoys volleyball, traveling and reading.
