An American actor, host of television, and former American football player, Terry Alan Crew.
He portrays Terry Jeffords in the Fox and NBC sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013–2021) and Julius Rock in the UPN/CW comedy Everybody Hates Chris (2005–2009).
Crews hosted the American version of the game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire from 2014 to 2015 and appeared in the BET reality series The Family Crews (2010–2011).
In addition to Friday After Next (2002), White Chicks (2004), Idiocracy (2006), Blended (2014), the Expendables series (2010–2014), and Rumble (2021), he has also acted in several movies. Following his participation in the same role for the America’s Got Talent: The Champions spin-off series, Crews started hosting America’s Got Talent in 2019.
Crews played defensive end and linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Chargers, and Washington Redskins in the National Football League (NFL), as well as for the Rhein Fire in the World League of American Football (WLAF), and Western Michigan University in college football.
As a vocal opponent of sexism and a supporter of women’s rights, Crews has shared accounts of the abuse his family suffered at the hands of his violent father. Crews was also among those named Time Person of the Year in 2017 for sharing accounts of sexual assault during the MeToo movement.
Crews is 1.88 metres tall and weighs 89 kg.
