Ashley Jini Park is an actress who has received Grammy and Tony nominations. She was born in Glendale, California, and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she also completed The University of Michigan’s prestigious Musical Theatre program.

Ashley appeared as “Tuptim” opposite Ken Watanabe, Kelli O’Hara, and Conrad Ricamora in the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of “The King And I” at New York’s Lincoln Center after making her Broadway debut in “Mamma Mia!” After that, she co-starred with Jake Gyllenhaal in the Broadway production of “Sunday In The Park With George” while also appearing in the second season of “Nightcap” (Pop TV/Lionsgate/Dakota Pictures). Ashley dominated Off Broadway and Broadway in 2018.

She received the prestigious Lucille Lortel award for Lead Actress in a Musical for her work as the lead actress in the critically acclaimed “KPOP.” Ashley appeared in Tina Fey’s musical “Mean Girls,” which was based on the film of the same name, as “Gretchen Wieners” in the same year. She received a Tony nomination for Featured Actress in a Musical because of her accurate portrayal of the enduringly insecure Gretchen.

Park attended Pioneer High School, where she she was a member of the choir  and theater groups.

After graduating from Pioneer High School in 2009, she went on to the University of Michigan, where she eventually earned a BFA in musical theater in 2013 from the School of Music, Theater, and Dance.
